passionate, fragmentary

A phrase began to beat in my ears with a sort of heady excitement: "There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy, and the tired."

I wondered if that was how forgiveness budded; not with the fanfare of epiphany, but with pain gathering its things, packing up, and slipping away unannounced in the middle of the night.

Leaving.

I’m sorry to spam your dashboards, dear followers, but I should inform you that I’m not going to be posting here anymore. This used to be a refuge and a happy place for me, something I looked forward to because it brightened my day. Now reblogging and uploading seems mechanical, and this has become a place where people I’ve parted from infiltrate my life.

I just don’t want to keep going if it’s not going to be fun anymore.

I’ll leave this blog up, if only because I can’t make it private and simply archive it, but it won’t be updated unless I have a change of heart. Thank you for enjoying the little pieces of myself I’ve left here.

thebillsvillebad:

it’s been a minute
since i meant it so,
“i love you,”
before i don’t

take it, hold it or
throw it away

save it for a rainy day
when i’m claimed,
clutched
in my brooding way

but if you don’t want it
then,
i won’t

O! What are you doing,
And where are you going?
Your ponies need shoeing!
The river is flowing!
O! tra-la-la-lally
here down in the valley!

O! What are you seeking,
And where are you making?
The faggots are reeking,
The bannocks are baking!
O! tril-lil-lil-lolly
the valley is jolly,
ha! ha!

O! Where are you going
With beards all a-wagging?
No knowing, no knowing
What brings Mister Baggins,
And Balin and Dwalin
down into the valley
in June
ha! ha!

O! Will you be staying,
Or will you be flying?
Your ponies are straying!
The daylight is dying!
To fly would be folly,
To stay would be jolly
And listen and hark
Till the end of the dark
to our tune
ha! ha.
